The Mission
To be artists charged to use the platform of storytelling as a tool to illustrate the image of God so that Wheaton College will be a place where the invisible God is seen through the recognition of unique story within each student. We do this to celebrate the beauty of the gospel and advance unity within the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
The Vision
We desire to see and hear every student and for every student to see and hear each other
The Team
We are students and artists from a range of backgrounds who love stories and are honored to spend time with yours. Our roles vary; we are musicians, writers, spoken word artists, visual artists, sculptors, thespians, and more. Through our art and God’s work in our lives we have come to respect the unique stories within each human being as powerful connectors for building relationships. In our efforts, we hope to cultivate understanding and unity, knowing that when we see people differently, we see the face of God differently.

What is Studio 1:27?
It is a space for you to be heard. The box itself contains a seat for your comfort and equipment for recording. You come in, settle, and tell us your story. We will listen to the recording and then provide artistic support to turn your story into a piece of art shared with our campus community. In the process, we may follow up with questions to help us understand your rich perspectives, history, developments, and experiences. We promise to be kind and respect your boundaries. Please feel free to take a moment to reflect, read more about our mission and vision, current theme. When you’re ready, come tell us your story, sharing the image of God within you, with us.
